Embedding Fonts In PDF Files

Most of our retail TrueType and PostScript font packages are not embeddable. When you embed a font in a PDF file you are actually distributing a copy of that font with every single PDF file you generate. Your pdf generator glues a copy of our font to the end of each pdf file it builds. This font is then installed on every computer that views that pdf document. This is the basic principal behind embedding fonts in pdf files. We license these types of embeddable fonts in a different way.

We do offer embeddable versions of our bar code and MICR fonts. To purchase a version of our fonts that will embed into a pdf file, you need to purchase the basic font set and an embeddable add on font set. Pricing for this type of license just add one extra fee for the add on embeddable fonts. With this license you receive a new version of the font, which will embed in a PDF file.

For example, suppose you need to create and display embeddable bar code 39 fonts in a pdf file, and that pdf file will only be used on the computer that created the pdf file. In this case you need to purchase one copy of the Bar Code 39 font set ($139.50) and our Embeddable Add-On Bar Code 39 font set ($139.50 additional).  The total price for embeddable Bar Code 39 on a single computer would be $279.00 ($139.50 + $139.50).

If you need to create and display embeddable MICR fonts in a pdf file, and that pdf file will be used five computers, you need both the embeddable add on font set and a multiple user license. In this case you need to purchase one copy of the MICR fonts ($139.50),  our matching Embeddable Add-On MICR font set ($139.50 additional),  and a 5 additional user license ($139.50 additional).  The total price for embeddable MICR Fonts for use on 6 computers would be $418.50 ($139.50 + $139.50 + $139.50).  This is a special order which can be placed at our payment page.
